Mind of Thoughts opened the 10th edition of the Ferrara Film Festival in Italy - a defining moment in the film’s expanding international journey.

“It was an incredible experience to see our film screened alongside an Oscar-winning classic and to feel how warmly Mind of Thoughts was received by the Italian audience,” says director Charlotte Verminck.
Following its world premiere in Hollywood during the 25th anniversary edition of the Beverly Hills Film Festival, Mind of Thoughts has continued to travel internationally, building momentum with screenings and recognition across Los Angeles, New York, and Europe.
The screening took place at the historic Teatro Nuovo, located in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Ferrara. As the film selected to open the festival, Mind of Thoughts was positioned at the forefront of its program, setting the tone for the entire edition.
Director Charlotte Verminck was welcomed on stage alongside artistic director Maximilian Law, who praised her work, calling her “a rising female director with a unique vision,” and describing Mind of Thoughts as “visually and narratively stunning.”
“To have our work shown in such an iconic venue as the Teatro Nuovo, in a program alongside Crash, is something I will never forget,” Verminck reflects. “The fact that this happened during an edition where 50 percent of the films were directed by women makes it even more meaningful - representation in film is something I strongly advocate for.”
With its opening in Italy, Mind of Thoughts continues to expand its presence on the international festival circuit, connecting with audiences across cultures and contexts.
