SYNOPSIS
Mind of Thoughts is a psychological drama that delves into the power of the mind through the story of Elle Davis, a young artist battling to escape the grip of her own destructive thoughts.
As Elle tries to embark a new art collection, her darkest thoughts begin to manifest, threatening to overwhelm her creativity and turn her world upside down. Terrified of being perceived as a failure, Elle conceals her struggles from everyone, including her supportive partner, Stephen.
Determined to prove she can overcome her inner demons and succeed in the art world, she accepts a position at a prestigious local art school, led by the enigmatic and renowned Ms. Margret.
Upon entering the academy’s opulent atelier, Elle’s deepest desires and darkest fears are ignited, leading her to a moment of profound rage. This action propels her into a confrontation with Ms. Margret, who takes Elle to a remote location where she must confront her fears and make a life-altering decision.
In this secluded setting, Elle is forced to take a leap of faith that will redefine her future and challenge everything she believes about herself.

WHY I WANTED TO MAKE THIS FILM...
“Our minds are constantly inundated with a torrent of thoughts - an astonishing 70,000 each day, with 80% of them being negative. I’m deeply intrigued by this duality within our minds: it is capable of creating wonders, yet in the very next moment, it can shatter us completely.
This film seeks to illuminate the profound impact our thoughts have on our daily lives and to challenge the collective shame we’ve attached to ‘failure,’ particularly as women.
Society has conditioned us to view failure as a weakness - something to be hidden, something to be ashamed of. Yet, failure is a universal experience. To me, it symbolizes the courage to try, the drive to improve, and the ultimate pathway to success. Regardless of status or experience, everyone faces doubts, questions of self-worth, and mental battles.
Though these struggles originate in the mind, I wanted to depict this inner turmoil through the physicality of the body. The dance at the core of Mind of Thoughts allows artist Elle Davis to viscerally explore fear, perception, surrender, regret, and the essence of what it means to be human in its most unfiltered form.”
